500 g lean ground Ontario beef
1 small Ontario onion, finely chopped
1 tbsp (15 mL) Worcestershire sauce
Salt and freshly ground pepper
1 pkg (250 g) brick cream cheese, softened
1 cup (250 mL) shredded Ontario Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup (125 mL) plain Greek yogurt
1/3 cup (75 mL) mayonnaise
2 tbsp (25 mL) ketchup
Toppings:
1/4 cup (50 mL) minced dill pickles
2 tbsp (25 mL) minced Ontario red onion
1 cup (250 mL) chopped seeded Ontario greenhouse tomato
1 cup (250 mL) shredded Ontario greenhouse leaf lettuce
3 to 4 sesame seed burger buns, cut into wedges
In large skillet over medium heat, cook beef and onion, breaking beef apart with wooden spoon, for 5-7 minutes, until browned and fully cooked.
Remove from heat; drain fat. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, season with salt and pepper; set aside.
In medium bowl, combine cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, yogurt, mayonnaise and ketchup. Mix well until smooth and evenly combined. Spread evenly into 6-cup (1.5 L) shallow casserole dish or 8-inch (20 cm) cast-iron skillet; top with beef mixture. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve, for up to 1 day.
To Serve: Bake in 350°F (180°C) oven for 15-20 minutes, until heated through and bubbling slightly around edges. Let stand for 5 minutes, or until cooled slightly.
Sprinkle with pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce.
