Honouring Perley Health’s Century Club

While Perley Health has long been lauded for the quality of life and care it provides for seniors and veterans, there’s no more obvious example of that than its annual Century Club celebration.

This year, a total of 23 residents aged 100 and older have been recognized—including 12 veterans. Together, they represent more than 2,300 years of life, service, family, friendship and community.

Perley Health is a unique and innovative Ottawa community that empowers seniors and veterans to live life to the fullest. Home to more than 600 seniors and veterans in long-term care and independent apartments, Perley Health provides care, services, recreation and connection in a vibrant campus setting.

The Century Club is more than a birthday celebration. It is a joyful reminder of the wisdom, resilience and contributions of older adults.

“The members of the Century Club have lived through decades of change. They have experienced moments of uncertainty and progress, service and sacrifice, work and family, grief and joy,” explains Delphine Haslé, Chief Executive Officer, Perley Health Foundation. “They have contributed to their communities in ways both large and quiet. They have helped build the Canada we know today.” perleyhealthfoundation.ca/century-club
