Toronto is an excellent choice for people wanting an easy getaway this summer. Canada’s most sophisticated city offers an abundance of attractions, from museums and sports events to world-class dining experiences.
A visit during summer 2026 will be even more electric, since Toronto is one of two Canadian cities hosting the FIFA World Cup.
Through the duration of the World Cup, which runs through July 19, visitors to the city can truly live it up—even if they’re not attending a game. Toronto’s official theme for the event is The World in a City, reflecting it diversity and multiculturalism. Toronto hosts six matches in June and July, with matches taking place at BMO Field at Exhibition Place.
